Privacy Policy
What this website and our request handling collect, why, and what happens to it.
What we collect
Requests for quotation
When you send us a request we receive what you include in it: your name, company, business email, optional phone and website, your role, the end-user organisation and destination country, the procurement stage and order-value band, the items requested, any attached documents and the free-text details. We use this information to review the request, to prepare a quotation where we can, and to correspond with you about it.
Website use
This website is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and it adds no logging of its own. It does not use analytics, and it sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising cookies.
To deliver the pages and protect the service, Cloudflare handles each request for them. Cloudflare's privacy policy says that what it processes for visitors to its customers' websites may include IP addresses, traffic routing data and system configuration information, and it explains how Cloudflare decides how long to keep such data. Cloudflare runs a global network, so a request may be handled outside Qatar.
What this website stores on your device
Up to three kinds of data may be kept by your browser on your device. The website does not upload them by itself. What you choose to send us, by email or through the form, does reach us, as described below.
- Reduce motion. If you switch the footer's "Reduce motion" on, the choice is stored in your browser's local storage until you switch it off again or clear your browser data. If your system already asks for reduced motion, nothing is stored.
- Request draft. While you fill in the request form, the text and choices you enter are saved in this tab's session storage shortly after each change, with a reference for the request, so that a reload or a return to the page does not lose them. The attachments and the tick that you agree to this policy are not saved; you tick it again each time. A draft last changed more than 24 hours ago is not restored: the page removes it the next time it is opened in this tab. This is a technical limit of the draft, not a period for keeping requests. Where the form offers Prepare email, it puts your entries into an email that you send yourself; the website cannot tell whether you sent it, so it does not remove the draft on that basis. To empty the form and remove the draft yourself, choose "Start a new request" where the page offers it. When the form sends your request, the draft is removed once the server confirms that the request was saved, and is kept if sending fails.
- Request confirmation. After the server confirms a request, its time and reference number are kept in this tab's session storage so that the confirmation page can show them.
Session storage normally ends with the browser session of that tab, but a browser can restore a tab and its stored data, for example after a crash or when you reopen a closed tab. On a shared computer, choose "Start a new request" before you leave the page and close the tab. Your browser may also keep form entries by itself, so use its own settings to clear stored site data.
How requests reach us
Through the form
When you send the request form, your entries and any documents go over HTTPS to a server function on our hosting platform, Cloudflare. First, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person; for that check Cloudflare receives a token from your browser and your IP address. To limit misuse, the function counts requests per network address for up to one day; the counters hold a keyed hash of the address, not the address itself. The request is then stored with Cloudflare (a D1 database and R2 file storage, both set to Western Europe), and our team is notified by email through Resend, an email delivery service (Resend, Inc., using its Ireland region). The notification carries the text of your request and time-limited links to your documents; the documents stay in storage. Requests and documents stored this way are deleted automatically 30 days after receipt. The notification in our company mailbox is kept as described below.
By email
You can also write to us directly, or use Prepare email where the form offers it: the form then puts your entries into an email that you open in your own email program and send yourself. The website does not send that email. If your browser hands email links to a webmail service, the prepared text passes to that service when you open the email. Your email service and ours carry and store the message, and the request is then kept in our company mailbox.
Keeping and sharing request data
Request data is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting order, and for any longer period required by the record-keeping rules that apply to us. A specific period for requests that do not lead to an order has not been set yet; this page will state it once it is.
We share request data with the manufacturers, distributors, logistics and payment counterparties needed to quote and fulfil a specific request, to the extent needed. Our network includes manufacturers and distributors in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, so a request may be shared outside Qatar. We do not sell or rent personal data.
The website is served over HTTPS. Email travels through your email service and ours, so please include only what the request needs.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you and for a copy of it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw a consent you gave, or object to a particular use, by writing to info@ogtrading-qa.com. We answer such requests as the data-protection rules that apply to us require.
Where Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) applies, you can also complain to the National Cyber Security Agency, which oversees that law.
This policy does not cover third-party websites linked from these pages.
